As well as being an artist, I'm also a surface pattern designer at Kay Julie Designs.

Inspired by my native and adopted countries and cultures, I create striking surface patterns that celebrate English country gardens, Scandinavian folk art and design, and the beauty of the natural world.

My art practice also influences my surface pattern design process: many of my patterns are created from original watercolour and acrylic paintings, as well as prints and collages. That being said, I also enjoy making patterns digitally.
